The gig is tomorrow night. I will be there, Brad and Derek. Again, I will be sitting on the left side of the bar (if you face it), in between the sound booth and it, eating pizza and drinking Margarita's.

First, it was great to finally meet you, Peter. A new friend - cool! Thanks for sharing the stories. Til next time....

Tom is one bad @$$ drummer. He made me smile, gave me some ideas to work out and a lot inspiration too. Great touch and dynamics, very musical and plenty of chops. He makes all those odd times, 13, 11, etc seem very fluid.

Ben Lewis is a beautiful pianist. Every time I've heard him, with several different bands, I think this guy is something special.

Awgh, Brad!

It WAS great! I am always pleased to see Tom, who I saw many years ago, as a young talent, knowing at the time, that he was going to be a special player. Of course, he would say he was awful then (Tom's a humble guy) but he truly was special.

His playing is very controlled and yet I see his motions on the kit as very loose. He really has found a balance. Over the years, with obvious inspiration from Vinnie and we talked a bit about influences (he mentioned Vinnie, of course, with very deep appreciation, mind you), he also was very praising of Bill Stewart's work, whom he feels is very much like Vinnie, creatively speaking. He is a real drummer's drummer, loving the kit and other drummers.

Having arrived early, I got a chance to meet Gary Sinese! What a nice guy and humble too! He didn't believe me but he is my favorite actor! We chatted for a few moments. He is the NICEST GUY!

I agree with you, Brad, about the very musical keyboardist/colorist, Ben Lewis. The band has such a contrast and power.

It always is such a gas to see them. I'm going to spend time and learn all those tunes! They look like so much fun and let say something that I should have said earlier. Tom knows this sh-- so well that IT IS JUST FUN for him to play and you can see that playfulness all night long!

What an awesome night for music and drums!

I lost $40 in cash somewhere but at the end of the night, it didn't even bother me; I had had so much of a good time!

Brad was the treat/bonus! What a positive guy! I have always loved his influence here! He knows his craft - articulates it beautifully and is clearly enthusiastic about it!

Hey Brad and Peter,

Thanks again for coming, and for your wonderful compliments of which I hardly feel worthy! It was a fun night, and I was told the sound was killin' out front, which makes me very happy. And you guys are right; Ben (aka Ben-Jammin) is one of my favorite musicians. Not to mention Chris Siebold (guitar), Ernie Denov (guest guitar) and Larry Kohut aka Boyo on bass. They make it so easy to play.

I videotaped myself from above and behind, and the riser was so wobbly it's like watching an earthquake for 2 hours. Oh well. The gig was recorded and what I heard from the soundcheck in the truck outside sounded great! So, hopefully a nice recording will come out of it.

I'm wondering, this live dbl CD that's coming soon is it available for pre-order somewhere (couldn't find any info on Audiophile Imports.com)?

riser but forgot. Someday, I'd like some
video of you and I CAN'T WAIT TO GET
